VR Seminars: Information

Hints and Tips

The following documents are to provide support on preparing a seminar paper and presentation. A number of ideas were provided by instructors from the Chair of Computer Science II, headed by Professor Thomas Noll; additional hints and tips from our research group have been added. Topics include literature research, preparation of the written paper, oral presentation, and project management.

We hope that the above information will help you meet the course requirements, and that even experienced students find some of the hints and tips useful. If you have any comments and suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

We wish you every success with your studies - have fun!

For all coursework, i.e., written paper, bibliography, and presentation, you should use the available templates!

for presentation

  • Of course, the presentation template has to be adapted. Additionally to the information on the title slide (name, presentation title, name of supervisor), the footer of the slides has to be changed under "View - Master - Slide Master" (PowerPoint/LibreOffice) or "View - Background - Drawing" (OpenOffice).
